Otacio Golf Club.

The St. Andrew's cross in connection with the above club was competed for la9t Saturday afternoon by 26 players, great interest being taken in the match. The weather was good, though the southerly breeze golfers usually have to face did not generally improve driving. From the scores below, it will be seen that there were quite a number of players close together, the winner being Mr H. D. Stronach with 104, less 16 handicap, making 88 net. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP. At the close of the above match the ties for the Club Championship which commences next Saturday were drawn. The entries numbered 27, and considering thai; for this event there is no handicap it shows clearly tbe interest taken in the competition, which is certainly the event of Iho year. Ditchie or Dr Ogston. St. Andrew's Club. On Saturday, the 24th inst., at Btlleknowes rink, the Sb. Audrew's Golf Club played a match for a prizi pre3ected by the president (Mr G. B. Dall). The high wind which prevailed at times during the game wan very baflling to all the players, and in consequence the scorei were not of the record-breaking order) nevertheless, a very pleaiant game resulted. Ou the cards beicg handed ia Mr W. Houston was declared the winner with a net totil of 79.. The other chief reorers were : Mr Crawford 85, Mr J. A. Millar 86, Mr Dall 89, Mr Walker 92, Mr Stokes 97. Mr Millar's gross score of 94 was the best of the day.
