j AOTE& BY J4.UK j A. meeting of the delegates to the New Zeaj land Bowling Association was held on the 14-bh j in Watson's Hotel, and attended by Messrs 1 M'Pfaerson, Green, Hislo?, Sinclair, Louden, Daviss, Peake, Macdonald, Hoodie, and Dodds. The occasion was the haudiDg over to the winner of the prize presented by M-jssrs Dewarand Co., Perth, Scotiand. The pe.ze was a handtome pair of silver-mounted bowls which were competed for among tho delegates to the association They wore won by Mr A Mandocald, of the Kaituna Club, with Mr P. Peake, oi' the Dunedin Ciub, as runner-up The bowls bore the following inscription :—: — "Presented by Messrs Jo in Dawar and Sons (Limited), dlstillera, Perth aud London, to A. Macdonald." After the i health of MessrsDowarancSons had been drunk, ; Sir Macdonald returned his sincere thanks to i the firm for the very handsome prize which he i had had the good fortune to win Mr j ZA'Pherson also returned thanks for the unexj yected prize. Mr Moloney said he bi-lieved i they could expect anocher visit from Mr Thomas j Dewar next year, and he was sure he would ' receive ft warm welcome from bowlers not only ! in Otago but throughout New Zealand. The toast of "The Health or" Mr Moloney" was received with musical honoura, and suitably j acknowledged. A number of bowlers who could not get away i to Oamaru or Invercargill held a tournament on the DunediD Club's green during the holidays, and had a real good tiaie of it. The green j was in fine order, and some good play was shown. The Pairs Match wm won by Phillips (Port Chalmers' Club) and J White (Dunedin Club), who defeated A. Fraser and W. Scott in the final. The Single Four-bowl Match was won by W. Cowie, who defeated H. O. Foster in the final.
