FISHING AND SHOOTING- SEASONS.
Wellington, April 15.
"The time for trout, perch, and tenon fishiag in fche southern acclimatisation districts has been extended until April 22.
The shooting season for native game in Ashburton and Waitaki districts is fixed from April 17 to July 31, in the Lakes district from April 17 to July 31, and the season for imported game (Waitaki) from June 1 to July 31. The close season for seals has been farther extended until June 30, 1898.
