ROXBURGH.

April 12.— The annual meeting of the Roxburgh Football Club was held in the Athenreum last Thursday evening ; Mr J. A. Boyd in the chair. The minutes of the last annual meeting were read and confirmed. The balance sheet, which was read and adopted, showed a credit balance of £3 ]2-< 81. The principal business of the evening was the election of office-bearers for the enmiing season. The following were elected :— President, Mr L. E. Ilaincs ; captain, Mr W. George ; deputy-captain, Mr K. Michell ; general com- ' mittee, Messrs Boyd, Hart, R. Michell, R. George, W. Ge >rge, and J. B. Rooney ; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. Winchester (re-elected). Messrs Hart, Michel], aud Winchester were appointed » match committee. The club's delegate to the union is Mr J. Uobson. The membership fee remains unaltered. The season will be opened on the 16th hist , when a scratch match will be played. There was a rumour of Lawrence coming up a' Easter, but I am doubtful if the match will come off. It is to be hoped that this season thero will be some inter-club matches. The cricket club have been able to play six matches this season, and surely our footballers could do something similar.
