Very Fancy Skating.
Some years ago when "fancy" skating was comiog into fashion experts in the arb gave public exhibitions. There was one man who could do almost incredible feats on skato«, such as skating on oue foot while the other was twined round his neck, and skating in such a iashion that his body was bent backward until his long hair swept ths ice. Of !alc years very little has been done in thi3 line, but it seeais that fancy skating is btill iv very great favour abroad. The Empsror of Austria bas a country aeab near Vienna, and on it is a lake u«ed as a skating park. On this lake it is reported that an Austrian performed a feat both unique and wonderful. He had an ink bottls adjusted to the back of his skate, the neck arranged so as to allow the iDk to flow out in a regular etream. With this he wrote the name of tha Crown Princess Stephanie on the ice in lines that a writing master might have envied.
