LAND BOARD.
A special meeting of the Land Board, held on j Thursday, was attended by Messrs J. P. Maitland j chief commissioner), Dallas, Clark, Duncan, aud M'Kerrow. Hawea Hundred. — Consideration was given to an application of 11. Barker and F. J. Dalgety for a j license to occupy the un«nld land in the Hawea , Hundred — It was decided ti grant a yearly licence to 11. Barker at a lental of £1 par annual, with license fee £1 Is. A.mtE\RS of Payment.— The board considered j the caseß of si lar»;e number of selectors who were j in arrears with their payments, and it was decided to declare the holdings of the following settlers j forfeited : -William Wilson, suction 12, block VII, Woodland ; John Cameron, section 9, block V], 1 Woodland ; T. .Scott aud J. Austin, section 27, block VF, Woodland ; Christian Lange, section %'S, block VI, llanklebnrn ; 11. L. Iviniey, section 58, block I, C.itlins ; Divid (-irahaui, section 45, block , I. Akatore ; Margaret Pelliuij, section 2, block XI, Woodland; H. S. M'Coli, section 43, block lir, . Glcnomaru ; G Mathesoo, jun., sections, block I, I Sdver Peak; \V. A.
