j you for the seventeenth! You have indeed borne Dot »nd her requests very oloaely in your memories these sunny holidays, and I thank j you, dear*, with all my heart. ; It is a beautiful thiog for me to think of, that, ! scattered far aud wide as you are, through the ; sunny hours of these pleasant holidays you have i remembered the little ones — straogeri to you — who fill our city ktndorgaitens I From north, south, east, aud west your welcome letters come, telling me of your homes, your pleasures, your pets, and your pursuits. In one sense we may be strangers, you and I, but we feel like friends — some of us quite old friends — and since we have been working together for the same object I think we feel more closely drawn together — closer friends than ever. The help which you send to the KinI dergarten Fund is valued very highly for ! several reasons. It in not only that the money itself is so needed aud so useful, but ib is the ! love and sympathy which make you send it — I the knowledge that all these Iriudly little helpers ; are scattered up aud down New Zealand — that I cheer and strengthen the president and her committee. I think that we shall all be making a great effort to do something special for the fund this winter, and when it is settled I shall write and tell you what the plan is and how it is to be carried out. Thanking you once more, my faithful little friends, for all your williDg help, — I am, your loving friend, Dot.
