M'Kenzie's Disqualification.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — I see that Alick M'Kenzie has been telling " Punter," of Wyndham, how he got put up. I rather think it was the other way about— how the Tapanui stewards let him off. He says he reckoned he hadn't much show in tho first race, yet he told the stewards that he backed him to win, and one of the stewards said he had put £5 on the tote for Sharpe, a part owner of the horse M'KeDzie also stated that in the second race (the one he came home first in) he had not Hacked hino for a shilling, and now he tells " Puuter " that he logt over £100 by being put up. I think there is a screw loose somewhere. M'Kenzie points out that Bmmeline is a good sprinter. So is St. Patrick. Both fit and well, over the same distance and with the same weights as they had when they met at Tapanui — with a fair go, — the big gelding would carry my money, and I think I would get home. — I am, &0., 1 Mataura, February 1& Onlooker.
