Harvesting is now in full operation, and the crops look fairly well in the level parts of the district, tbou/?h they appear shurt in some parts of the hilly ground. There is promise of a very fair harvest compared with some others if all j accounts be true. The turnip crop ie, however, j not up to what it hot been in former years, and there is a sc*rcity of grass in a good many places, owing no d übt to the drought.
