ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND.
CAUSE OF DELAY. The R.M.S. Zealandia, with the San Francisco mail reached Auckland yesterday morning. The long delay in her arrival was due to the foulness of her bottom and to her not bring able to Btoam -more than 11 knots— two knotß less thau she was expected to make The vessel was also delayed 12 hours extra at Honolulu. From Samoa head winds, with a heavy swell were encountered, being the remnant of the recent ,gale. The Mahinapua, with the mail on board, left Ouehunga yesterday after* noon. It is expected that the mail will reach Wellington by special train from the north at 5 o'olook this afternoon, and the Mararoa will be detained to carry the southern portion to Lyttelton, leaving as soon as the mails are transhipped.
