Aitken. — On ihe 31st January, at tbe residence of his son-in-law, Middlemarch, William 'Aitken, builder, of Outram ; in his seventy-first year. Mitchell.— On Tuesday, 19th January, at his son's residence, Outram, William Mitchell ; in liis seventy-third year. M'Cluskey.— Ou \he 31st January, at the residence of his parents, Elgin House, Cumberland street, John, the beloved son of John and Mary Ann M'Cluskey; aged 27 "years. Deeply regretted. R I.P. Harris.— On the 28th Jauuary, 1897, at Waitati, Richard George Harris ; aged 64 years. Stott.— -On c 30th. January, at Taieri Mouth (accidentally drowned), Walter, the dearly beloved huaband of Tina Stott, Burnside ; aged 31 years and 9 months.— Though lost to sight, to memory dear Thomson.— On the 31st January, at his residence, Gordon load, Mosgiel, Thomas Thomson ; in his thirty-fourth year. Announcements of Births, Marriages, aud Deaths scut for publication from the country districts require to be verified by the signature of cither our agent in the district from which tho announcement is sent or of the clergyman of the difattict. Charge for these, 3s per insertion. When verses are added to "In Meraoriam" notices, an additional charge of 2s 6d for each verse of four lines is made.
