Great hopes are entertained of a vigorous revival of quartz reefing in Waipori in the near future, Claims are being marked out, applied for, and surveyed all over tin district, and if even r fract.onof them reach the flotation stage it will mean a considerable influx of capital — in fact a boom. At the same time a good de\l of quartz mining enterprise in Waipori is in es*e as well as in. posse, as small parties of working miners are employed at Cox's reef, tin Canton, the O.P.Q, and there is also a small three-stamper battery working at the Devil's creek, where the proprietor, Mr Harry Anderaon, pluckily carries on all tns necessary operations single-handed.
