ANSWER TO CORRESPONDENT. Kurt.— l should not recommend either a St Bernard or a Newfoundland for rabbit and Bheep' country. Aa companions both. Lava their admirers* If anything. I fancy the. leaning in thia respect is to .the Newfoundland. Both are eaters in a wholesale way. I would recommend a smaller dog— say a collio or retriever. The price for pups of a good breed would be about four or five guineas. For collfea and retrievers I can refer for breeders to our advertising columns. lam unaware of any puppies of the St. Bernard aud Newfoundland breeds being for sale.
