The June number of the Pall Mall Magazine is quite up to the usual standard of excellence, and in point of fact it in one respect an advance on previous numbers, inasmuoh as it contains two very fine full-page photogravures. Among the artioles is one on Adam Lindsay Gordon, the Australian poet, written by the late Dr Pearson ; an appreciative and beautifully illustrated notice of the life and work of the Belgian painter Emile Wtnters ; and an artiole on the new photography. •■ In the Library " tells in an interesting manner the old story of the theft of the famous Madame dv Barry's diamonds ; white the serial story by Sir Walter Besaut pursues its somewhat attenuated thread.
