DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS. Weekly Report.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows :— ' At Saturday a sale there was a small attendance Of buyers, probably on account of there being only one lot advertised for sale. Apart from this lot— which was from Mr J. M'Keown's, of Gorethe horses forward" were of rather inferior class. Draught horses sold .at very full values, prices ruling being quite up to those of our annual sale held on the .11th inst. Fir3t-class young draught tiorses are in great demand at present, and we are sure horses of this description would sell at prices decidedly in favour of sellers. There were no good (Dring-cartcrs in the yard at sll» although there
is a brisk demand at present for them, a few inferior ones were fairly well competed for. The | inquiry for really first-class harness horses is "goo'?,' but nearly all offered to-day were light anMnferior, and for these very little demand exlsts^^JVo -quote; Heavy draughts, four .to six yewm. £22 to £27; do eight to ten years, £15 .- ljty^SO ; ' light and small do, I £8 to £12; aged tbvlinferior do, £4 to £7 ; upstanding spriDg-cart flotses, young and sound,' £12 to £16; well-bred upstanding hacke and harness horses, £16 to £20 ; upStinduig hacks and I harness horses, £10 to £14 ; aged (Minferior, £2 to £5. \-
