NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION.

Tbe New Zealand Rugby Union decided to communicate with the various affiliated unions as to the men available to take part in the Queensland v. New Z-alaud match ; also, that with a view of aocuranlating a fund to cover the expense of sending a team to Australia next season, each nnion will defray the cost of its representatives to Wellington to play against Queensland.
A further communication from OUgo in reference to the disqualification of a late Wellington player, pointing out the amb : guity in tbe New Zealand Union's by-laws regarding disqualifications, was discussed at some length, and it waa decided to inform the Otago Union, in connection with its reading of " appeals and disqualifications," that, while admitting the ambiguity of the rule, it holds that it has a right to interpret a rule about whioh there may be any donbt. The Otago Union also wrote calling into question the power of the Union to amend a notice of motion without notice, and claiming that the alteration made was, quite unnecessary. The committee held that it had power to altar any motion of whioh requisite notice had been given.
