The first number is an exceedingly creditable pro- „ duc'icr, siid thould appeal to a large section ■ of readers in town and,, country. It contains \m»l tec of special interest to the country, the fiist article being on ''Making a Pasture," by ' Sir J. B. Lawes, and this is apparently one of * a series. Amongst the contributors 60 the .new "magazine are "John Strange Winter " - (authoress of "Booties Baby," &c), Angus Evan Abbot, Sir R. Paget, Oswald Golsworthy, and other popular writers, so that as a literary production it is certain to possess great - merit, while its illustrations ace most creditably
