THE ASHANTEE DIFFICULTY.
■■ » London, November 21. The Queen specially desired that careful provision ataould be made for tbe sick in the contemplated expedition to Asbantee. It is officially stated that Mr Chamberlain has not stopped preparations for the expedition to Ashantee, but declined to negotiate a treaty with the envoys, and told them it must be settled with the Governor of the G-old Coast. The Time 3 says preparations were delayed at the last moment in view of the rainy season hampering the movements of the troops.
