Dalvey Estate. TO THE EDITOR.

Sib, — Seeing that yon have given voice to a grots libel on a property part of which I purchased some time ago, I would now aek you to kindly contradict the statements made by J. A. Msson, as I can vouch that under fair treatment, vrbich it did not get, the Dalvey land can hold its' own with any average land in the country, as turnip crops and gras3 grown since my purchase will prove. I have many a time ceeu crops from 60 to 70 bushels of oats growu on it, so the creditors of J. A. M. must look for some other reason than the poorness of the land for his failure. Most; people in the 'south, and in Danedio, cou'd st*ta the reasons, and poor J. A. M. is not alone in having fallen over that same fence ; bat, in fairness, he had no right to put the blame on a property that I am sure paid so long as Ttoll stocked. No place will p»y fcr sheep farming when there are no sheep. To couclude, I hope he will have profiled by past cxperienco, and mvy bring some more money back to New Zealand and make gcod use of its, snd not go away and blame the Country. — I am, &c, Poniahaka, Nov. 22. J. R. Mackenzie.
