The third annual show in connection with this issoeietion took place at Ophir in Mr John Pitches's paddock, on Friday, 15th insfc. The weather was fine but cloudy in the^morning, and remained so sufficiently long to allow a large gathering to assemble from all parts. At about 11.30 am. it commenced to rain, and fair'; poured for the rest of the day, making it disagreeable for everyone concerned. The number of entries show an increase of over 100 in comparison jrith those of Isst year, and had it not been for the exceptionally severe winter experienced throughout Central Otsgo the number would far have Exceeded" this. Most of the stock t-xbibited was not in good condition The Mas^ey-Harris, Walter Wocd, Morrow-Basiet*", aud Buckeye Companits bad a number of machinery exhibits, &c, on the groand. The Indies who did not secure the prize for the lady's hack and best Indy rider were very much disnati &°.d with the judging. A good display of hacks compßted. The dairy produce was a .very creditable display. The secretary, Mr J. L. Flint, and the aES : stent secretaries, Mesrs Richards and Leic°it«r, carried out their duties most satisfactorily ; as also did the judges, cinsfl stewards, and committee, who had anything but a pleasant task ro pp'f.irm during thf cold and wet day.
