RUSSIA IN THE PACIFIC.
REPORTED OCCUPATION OF PORT ARTHUR.
Shanghai, September 20. It is reported that the Chinese occupation of the Liautong Peninsula will be resumed Jn October ; also that the reward to Russia for scouring the evacuation is the privilege of raising the Chinese loan of 100 million taels. Vienna, September 21. The Free Press publishes a telegram, said to be from a reliable source, that Russia, with China's consent, has occupied Port Arthur.
