GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKETS.

Messrs Donald Rkid and Co. report that prices ruled as under nt their auction sale to-day :— O -ts. — Demand improved, and under brisk competition valuei for all sorts were higher. Long Tartars and black, Is ltd to 2s; prime milling. Is 9d to Is IOd ; Rood to best feed, Is 8d to Is 9i'l ; medium anil inferior, Is 6d to Is 74d per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat -Only a line of inferior fowl feed offered, which realised 2s 9d per bushel. Barley. — No prime malting catalogued. Medium malting, 2i 5d to 2s 8d ; feed and milling, 2s to 2s 4d per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes.— Owiug to reduced stocks, values were slightly better. Best northern Derwents, £1 15s to £1 17s 6d; southern, £1 103 to £1 15s; kidneys, £1 5s to £2 per ton (bacs in). Chaff.— Market moderately supplied and firm at late quotations. Best oaten sheaf, £3 7s 6d to £3 10s ; medium, £3 to £3 53 ; Btraw and inferior, £2 5s to £2 15s per ton (bigs extra). Turnips.— Pleutiful, aud demand easier. Best swedes (bagged,), 14s to 15s per ton (bags extra) j do (loose), 12s to 13s per ton. Beat, Is 9d to Is 9Ad ; good feed, la 8d to Is Bid ; medium, l 8 7id to li 7}d. Wheat.— Only small lot of inferior offered, and sold at 2s 9Jd- Market firm. Barley.— J?ced, Is 9d ; medium, 2s 2Jd. Market dull

Potatoes.— Demand slightly firmer, wi' bout increase in prices. Medium to good, £1 lOts to £1 13 1 ; inferior, £1 2s. Cairots, £1 Us. Chaff.— Only small lot of straw chaff offored, and sold at £2 2b 6d. Prime is inquired for, and prices are firmer. We told privately two te:ucka (good) at £3 7s 6d.
