Supplies aie now assuming much larger proportions, although wo notice that several parcels from places near the coast and from North Otago show already sign* of going off season and of breeding Prices of all sorts are very firm at following quotations :— Prime winters lid to lljd. choice thin-pelted 12d to 12Jd, other sorts in proportion. For pure silver greys (selected) we paid up to 18d per lb, being the highest figure paid here for many years. For this class of skins we have a special order from one of the largest furriers in Kurope, who wants to secure tho very pick of that kind of skins for dressing. Our attention has been drawn to a quotation ia our last report of 13Jd for ordinary grey winters. Ihis was an error, and should have been 12J4
