ALLEGED CRUELTY.
Napikr, August 13.
A case of extraordinary cruelty to a child at Ormondville is reported. A girl, aged 13, was tied to a bedpost naked and flogged with' a lash until the blood flew all round. She escaped and informed the police. Her condition beariDg out her statement, proceedings have been taken against her assailant, who is either her father or guardian.
