It is reported that the Auckland Rope, Fibre, and Slatting Camp^ny's works, the property of the Bank of New Zealand Estates Company, have been disposed of to a syndicp.t-e, which has also purchase t v<> bouthexn rope companies — one m Dutiodin aud one in Invercargill. Twenty-five men have recei^i notice of dismissal.
