The June number of the Review of Reviews is quite op to the usual standard. The instalment cf "The Supreme Court Judges of South Australia" contains some excellent portrait*. There is a good article on " The Maori in Politics," while the character sketch of Li Hung Chang, despite all we already know of that eminent statesman, is ex'remely interesting. In the " Reviews Reviewed " attention is drawn to an article which should he speoially interesting to us -viz , "Danish Butter-making," by Mrs Tweedie, in the May number of the Fortnightly. " Re-peopling of the" Ltnd " and. " KDglish Publichouses " will be interesting respectively to political economists and prohibitionists. There is apparently no end to the illustrated "chiffons" of journalism which claim our at-, tention and solicit our subscription. "The Album," a copy of which has been sent us by Mes-rs Prictor and Crawford, is one of the - newest. It is admirably got vp — clear type, beautiful paper, perfect illustrations. A letter from Paris, the sketch of a popu'ar tenor, " In Sfcageland," "In Boukland r " a short story, several article*, an interview, and, to finish up with, a supplement containing the second number of Academy pictures, all for 6d ! We do indeed live in a wonderful age.
