In breasting tUo lull Gas headed Utica, and Buttciily clung to them for another hundred yards, when Galeottia was sent out aud at once took up the running. Her advance had been shaved by La Sagesse, who failed nevertheless to k«ep up the attack, and improving upon her advantage Gal«-ottia ultimately won by thiee lengths ; La Sagess« secured second money by aalf a length, with Butterfly and Utica fourth and fifth close up. At a cleat interval Pantorella was sixth, Saintheld seventh, Excisa eighth, Kissing Cup ninth, Pat of the Chase tenth, and Santa Palma aud Cheery tailed off. Time, lmin 47isec.
