CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

Tho regular monthly meeting of the come raittee of tho Charitable Aid Board was held on Thursday affcemoou, and was attended by Messrs Robin (chairman), Miller, Green, Snow, and Monson. The claim from the Beaevolent Institution for the month was £931 12s 2d, and au interim payment of £500 having been made it was decided to pass the balance for payment. The requisition from the Female Refuge was £3, and this was also pissed for payment. Mary's School, £10 in the Burnham School, and a decrease in the estimates of tho Auckland School of £40. The bo&rd's expenses for each of the two yesra were the same — namely, £125. Iv connection with the foregoing the following arnounta had been paid last year in excess of the estimates, thereby making the increases less as regards actual payment ;— Benevolent Institution, £229 ; Caversbairi School, £248; St. Mary's School, £49; Burnham School, £3.
