A SENSATIONAL MURDER.
Paris, May 13. Madame Amelor, a lady who devoted her immense fortune to the relief of the poor in Paris, killed her confessor, the Abbe Brcglie, brother of the Due de Broglie, under the delusion that he persecuted her. Later. The mardtr by Madame Amelot has created a tremendous sensation in Paris. She is suffering from religious monomania, and declares that the Abbe divulged the secrets of the confessional.
Tbe death is announced at Wellington of Mr Edwin Bannister, who came to the colony with tbe pioneers of the Wellington settlement in 1840. He took a prominent part in convection with the Manchester Unity Ordtr of Oddfellows, and Was for a considerable time secretary of one of tho principal lodges there.
