SUCCESSES OF PUPILS DUNEDIN GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL.
At last week's meeting of the Ofcago High School's Board, the Rector of the Girls' High School forwarded a list of examinations lately passed by pupils of the school. From this it appeared that Missies F. Batbgate. J. Brown, A. Burton, A. Bauchop. J. Campbsll, L. Fenwick, J. Mackellar, D. Orkney, and M. White had matriculated from the cchool, and that Miss. Emily Ridley had passed tha medical preliminiry t^aminatien ; that Misses A. Bauchop and Linda Fenwick had gained university junior Fcholarthips, and Miss F. Bathgate was amongst those who matriculated with credit; tbat fttisi M. White had passed the senior civil Eer>ioe examination ; that Misses Ada Pateieon and It. 'l'hompeon had gained tho Education Board senior scholarship, and that Misses A. Adamc, O. Dare, A. Hancock, M. Howell, "and 'M. Loan, having gained 50 per cent", of 'the available marks, wero entitled' \o tho Board of Governors' free scholni'Bfaip ; that Misses B Barr, J. Brown, M. White, and F. Brtssey had been selected by the Education Board for appoinlmcut as pupil teachero, that Miss J. Ruths) ford had carried off the Tinlioe scholarship ; that lUissea R. Davey »nd E. J. Anderson had taken tteir M.A. degree with honours, and Misses A. Dowries, Jessie Rutherford, 0. Cruickshank, and A. Barren had taken the B.A. degree ; that Mies E. Siedebcrg came out flrtt-clnss and tcok the ptize in gjnecology, and Bliss M. Crtfickshr.nk took a second-class ; that Miss C. MacGugor hud obtained the D certificate with special mention for science, and that Misses K. Cameron, Eva A*h, and Jessie Reid bad alao paused for clas3 D, and that Blisa E. Pretsch had passed for class E with special mention for English, and had also obtained the paitial D certificate. (The euccet ses of the pupils from the Boyis' S< hool were noted at the previous meeting of tho board).
The satisfaction of the board at the succes* of tho school was recorded.
