LAND BOARD.

The weekly meeting of the Land Board, held on Wednesday, was attended by the Chief Commissioner (Mr J. P. Mainland), and Messrs J. Duncan, H. Clark, W. Dallas, and A. M'Kerrow.

Domkt. — Ranger Fraser reported on and forwarded valuation of the improvements upon small grazing run seoVon 17a, Domet district, lately held by Stewart Richmond.— Run 17a to be offered at the reduced area of about 3300 acres, rental 4£d per acre, with valuation for improvements, £80. Litt'e's run, Domet and Eyeburn districts, to be offered together with part of Run 17a, cont-*iniu« about 1200 acres, making a Wtal area of 10,840 acres, at a rental of £100 per annum ; valuation of fencing, £10. Chapman's run (Domet and Kyeburn) to be offered at £90 per annum ; valuation for improvements, £50. Maeiiewhenua — RaDger Hughan forwarded a report upon section 47, block IX, and section 10, block XVI, Maerewhenua district, lately held nnder pastoral license by Garibaldi Botting.— lt was resolved that the Governor be recommended to set apart and declare open 1814 acres of the run re'erred to, in three small grazing runs, containing 594, 423, and 800 acres, as per plan submitted by ranger ; rentals, 7d, 7d, and 8H respectively ; balance of run, consisting of 973 acres around the town of Livingstone, recommended to be reserved for the use of the miners and residents in the said town, undet occupation liceuse system. Whikouaiti, Ttieri, and Clutha couutiei forwarded statements of proposed expenditure of thirds and fourths accrued from April 30 to July 28, 1894.— Road lines approved ; and, as rcqut sted by the Waihemo County Council, the board authorised the balance of £23 16s 6d to be expended on the reereetion of Capburn bridge, the said sum being portion of amount previously allocated to formation of road through section 20, block VII, Rock and Pillar.
