Wheat : Prime velvet, 2s lOd to 2s lid ; other varieties, 2-i 8d to 2s lOd ; chick feed, good whole is scarce and wanted at from 2s 4d to 23 Gd. Oats : Prime milling and plump feed, Is 5d ; ordinary feed, Is 4d to Is sd ; seed varieties, Is 7d to Is lOd— net, sacks extra. Barley : We quote prime malting, 3s 6d to 3s 8d ; pearling, 2s 9d to 3s ; feed, from 2s to 2s 3d ; seed varieties from 3s 9d to 4s 6d. Hops : Dentand not active, 9d to lOd. Pearl barley, £16. Oatii' mI, £8 10s. Flour : Roller, £7 ss ; stone, £6 10s .m, £2 ss. Pollard, £3 10s. Potatoes : A few trucks of prime quality wanted, £1 10s to £1 15s. Chaff : The demand is good for best quality at £2 153; ordinary, £1 15s to £2 ss. Onions, ' £10. Linseed, £12. Pigs : Prime bacon sizes, 3Jd. Salt butter, 7£d ; fresh, fair supply. Bacon : Rolls, 6d to 6Jd ; sides, Cd to 6Jd ; hams, Bd. Cheese : Factory, 43d to sd ; Akaroa, 4d to 4Jd. Honey : Prime extracted, 4d to 4Jd ; other quality, 3id. Ryegrass : Machined, 3s 9d to 4s 3d ; farmers' lots, 2s 3d to 2s 9d. Cocksfoot : We quote from 4d to 7Jd ; light cocksfoot for surface sowing, 5s per sack. Kainit, £5. Nitrate of soda, £15. Standard phosphate, £6. We recommend kainit as a special remedy for rust and the grass grub. Kainitj however, is more effective if used in conjunction with any other manure. Pamphlets on application.
