TOMAHAWK ROAD BOARD.
The regular meeting of the Tomahawk Read Board, keld on Saturday, was attended by Messrs S. Brooks (chairman), J. Mathieson,' J. Patrick, T. Henderson, J. C. Miller, and J. & Dooley. A letter from the Commissioner of Taxes offering to supply maps to assist the board in valuing property .was received, and it -was determined to accept the offer with thanks. A letter was received from the Peninsula Road Board with reference to the maintenance of the road between the two road districts. The board agreed to miiintßin the Eigbcliff road 27i chains from the point «t which the Highcliff road begins, but saw no necessity to alter the old boundary of Mrs Morris's road. It was decided that the board maintain the road 22ft from Mr Brunton'B gate. It was resolved to thank the foilowiag gentlemen who kindly supplied trees to plant on the Sand Hills ."—Messrs J. Pryor, 3. Sanderson, W. M'Lennsn, J. H. Preasly, and S. Brooks. There were two tenders before the board for parting and spreading metal on new road — J. "Weir at Is 2d per yard, and E. M'Kewen at Is Id per yard. It was resolved to accept Mr M 'Ke wen's tender, it being the lowest. Accounts ware passed to the amount of £23 12s.
