DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS.
Weekly Report. Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as ollowb :—: — Our sale on Saturday was made up chiefly of town and dealers' lots, and as there were no country horses advertised, the sale was poorly attended. Draught and springcart horses were he Borts for which most inquiry was made, and we nave no doubt consignments of these would fetch good values. Light harness horses and hacks were a drug, and we do not see any prospect of an improvement in values of these until warmer weather sets in. We quote : Firstclass draughts (extra heavy), £25 to £30; good ordinary draughts (young), £18 to £22 ; medium draughts, £12 to £16 ; aged draughts, £6 to £10 ; " good hacks and harness horses, £12 to £16; medium do, £7 to £9 ; light and inferior do, £2 10s to £5. GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKET. Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report that prices ruled as follow at their auction sale yesterday :— Oats.— Prime, Is sid to Is s|d ; medium, Is 4}d to Is 5d (sacks extra).
