ROSLYN BOWLING CLUB.
TO THE EDITOK.
Sib, — In reading over the account of the annual meeting of the Roslyn Bowling Club in your last issue I was rather surprised at the club seriously discussing what our worthy president of the Bowling Association had said to Mr Crawford re penalising the club if they rejoined the association. Mr Horsburgh was only " getting at" the Roslyn members. There has been no meeting of the association where the Eubject has been discussed, therefore the president could not seriously have meant what was said. Mr Horsburgh and Mr Crawford are two of the most genial bowlers you could meet with, and I feel sure that neither would do anything to injure that goodfellowship which should always exist between bowlers — where it does not exist the whole charm of the game is removed. Every club has a right to exercise is own opinion with regard to the doings of tho association; and although it is much to be regretted the Roslyn Club saw fit to withdraw from the association, I feel sure that now they have rejoined, the association will extend the right hand of goodfellowbhip to the Roslyn members just the same as if they had never left the association ; in fact, I think tho association will be stronger than ever. — I I am, &c, G. B. Smith, Member of the Association. Bnrnside, June 26.
