X., Gore. — In the great majority of cases whore dogs are supposed to be suffering from poison administered it would be found by careful scrutiny into the circumstances under wMoh these creatures are compelled to exist that their death is due to the irrational treatment to which they are subjected undermining their constitutions, producing all sorts of ailments, and if allowed to progress unattended to, iv all probability ending in death. However, if you were to submit the first one that dies to a professional post mortem examination, it would likely be conclusive evidence as to the cause of their suffering and ultimate death. Milch Cow.— The ailment affecting your cow may be garget, from lying on damp ground or from careless milking. If so, give her a dry bed, and milk her three times a day, making sure there is no milk left in the udder, and rub in a little weak iodine ointment. It would, however, be ' advisable to call in a qualified practitioner, as it might be a far more serious disease — viz., tuberculosis, irf which case the milk would be unfit for consumption,
