ROXBURGH.
June 30. — Mr Larnach spoke here to-night to a large audience, and was very heartily received. Weather. — Although the end of June, we cannot be said to have had any winter. It is an exceedingly mild season. Perhaps, as is not unusual with us, the spring will be a cold one.
Mining.— Nothing of any importance is taking place in mining circles. The Amalgamated Company is said to be doing very well. We have not heard of any dividends from the dredges for many months. Surely 'some improvement may reasonably be looked for ?
