He sent it with one or two others as an original contribution to this column ; it afterwards appeared at Home, and just recently in the Providence Journal. D. 8., Waiwera. — Have forwarded it. W. J. F —Your solutions of Problems 1193 and 119 1 are correct. Should try others, and solutions can be sent on postal card or open letter for Id. D. A. B.— Your note to hand, but you have omitted to enclose the problem. J. C Kartigi. — Your solutions of Problems 1193 and 1194 are correct. In writing out play, the moves should read clown the columns, and not across themes in the games. Pleased : to hear from you.
