Re Mr Mathieson, Hawea.
In tho Waimea Plains Review I see Mr Mathieson claims to have played and beaten me. This is something new to me, as I have never played him. But if he is so anxious to score a win against me I will be most happy to play him at any timo. In Qucenstown I heard that he had played and beaten Messrs Warnock, Boreham, Reid, Shaw, Foreman, and all other players who took part in the Exhibition Tournament. If these gentlemen (if they have played him) will publish their scores with Mr MathiesoD, they will oblige the draught players of Lake and Vinceot Counties, and D. A. Buodie.
