The revenue for the financial year, which amounts to L 6,720,000, fell short of the Treasurer's estimate by L 842.000. Tha estimated expenditure was L 7,559,000, but tbe severe retrenchment policy of the Government reduced ii f < to L 7 250,000, thus makiDg tbe deficit only L 530.000. which, added to previous deficits, makes a total of L 1.714,000,. 714,000, without taking intb account L 750.000 worth of Treasury bond*.
