The committee of the Hospital Board, which then met, was attended by the same gentlemen, with the exception of Mr Miller. The Hospital Trustees' requisition for ihe month ot May came to £196 2s sd. The total expenditure was £666 33 sd, and against this had to be placed — Receipts from in-patients £121 15a 6d, from out-patients £9 7s, students' fees £36 15s, Industrial School 13s 6d, sales £1 10s, making a total of £170 Is. The Chairman said that the sum claimed was £46 over the estimate for the month, but ib made up £70 less than the estimate for the three months. An invoice of drugs had just? come to hand, representing about £100, and the trustees thought fit to pay this at onoe and secure the 10 per cent, discount offered. ' Mr Green said that while the number of patients was increasing, especially in the outdoor department, there was a greater number than ever of paying patients.
