A few of its Special Features are as follow : — The Axle is made of steel, and runs right through the Machine, and has four wide bearings specially fitted. The Fertiliser Distributor is a positive Forced Feed, proven by many years' experience to be superior to any other device for the purpose, (■rearing. — The Gearing for operating both Grain and Fertiliser consists of a patent speed device invented for this special purpose and owned absolutely by the manufacturers of this Drill. It is enclosed in an Iron case attached to Axle inside of frame, maintaining the only true principle of changing quantities and at the same time dispensing with a number of loose Gear Wheels and Chains so objectionable in many old-style Drills, a number of which are still on the market and claiming to be modern in construction. Steel Gear Wheels are used where the greatest strength and lightness are required. Driving Power. — The Driving Power is obtained from both ground wheels, which are independent drivers. Both speed devices being geared to Axle a positive continuous motion is secured, at the same time avoiding all side draft — a fault with all side-geared Drills. • Changing of Quantities is easily and quickly clone, and a wide range of change is secured both on Grain and Fertiliser, The entire Drill is handsomely finished and ornamental in appearance.
