Reefton, June 17. The returns for the last week total 4730z amalgam from 542 tons, made up as follows :— Alpine, 200oz from 22') tons ; Progress, 2060z from 185 tons ; Wealth, 670z from 137 tons. Stock Exchange report:— "The Big River winze from No. 4 is down the required depth to connect with No. 5 level. They have driven 27ft on hard stone in No. 2 level from lft to 2ft wide. Cumberland : Sales 4s. Th« main shaft is down 70ft The Exchange winze is down 14ft. The Globe have driven through the reef, which is 7ft in thickness with gold showing on the hanging wall side. It is impossible to fix the market price of these, shareholders waiting further developments. Alpine : A new splice of stone 10ft wide was struck in the level going east, with gold showing on the hanging wall portion. Buyers 14s, sellers 153. Wealth : Sales 3a. The reef was driven on for 22ft ia the 30ft level, varying in thickness from 4ft to Bft."
