A TUNNEL SALTED FROM END TO END.

The geologist sent to make a further examination of the field telegraphs to the Government that tbe Mount Huxley tunnel is "salted" from end to end, and he has proved beyond doubt there is very little gold in the virgin country.

The police have arrested a man named Isaac Barker on a charge of conspiring with others to defraud by " salting " the Mount Huxley mine. Other arrests on a similar charge are expected to follow.
