Poor Yorick's Skull.
Mr Florence relates that the elder Booth, while playing Hamlet in a Virginian town, found himself without the important skull. A little darky volunteered to get one. When Booth was leaving the theatre he felt someone tugging at his coat tail. He looked around and saw the little nigger. 11 What will you have, sonny ? " "Please, sah, I want daddy's skull, Bah." "Daddy's skull?" " Yes, sah ; dat used to be de ole man's headpiece afore de mewel kicked him, an' mammy'U lick me ef I lose it."
