SEARCH FOR THE SHIPS MORATYSHIRE AND BLAIR ATHOLE.
H.M.S. Pallas has left Hongkong for Singapore on her way to Plymouth. In the prosecution of her search for any traces of the missing vessels Moraysbire and Blair Athole, the will first visit the Philippine Islands, coaling at Manila, then Warren Hastings Island, some of the Caroline Islands, and Java. In this detour the voyage to Singapore will extend over 4000 miles, instead of the usual trip of 1400 miles. The British iron ship Morayßhire, Captain Mouatt, class 100 Al Lloyd'p, 1482 tons gross, built 1875, Bailed from Samarang for Vancouver on November 22, 1892, with a cargo of sugar. The British iron ship Blair Athole, Captain Lister, class 100 Al Lloyd's, 1777 tons gro^s, built 1874, sailed from Pasarceang for Vancouver on February 27, 1893, with a cargo of sugar. Since Bailing neither vessel has been heard of. It is supposed that survivors from these vessels may have reached some of the islands in the Malay Archipelago.
