A resident of Wellington, who is largely interested in the Waihi Gold Mining Company, Upper Thames, supplies the Post with the following returns for the year jusb ending :—: — Number of tons of ore treated, 19,305 ; value of bullion realised, £61,334 ; proceeds of sale of tailings to the Cassel Company, £5000 ; — total, £66,334 ; amount paid in dividends within five months, £22,500 ; value of bullion won from the mine up to the present, £151,992.
