PARLOUR MAGIC.
2.— The Two Fluids. Take a common wineglass and half fill it with porter. On the top of the porter place a small piece of paper cut neatly round in a circular form, tothesize of a fourpenny piece. Now with a steady hand pour gently, with a teaspoon, enough water to fill up the glass, and is will be found that the aqueous fluid will float on the top of the heavy. Remove the paper, and you may then engage to drink the porter underneath without taking up a drop of water. This curious feat may be performed by sucking up the porter through a straw, when the water will bo found perfectly clear at the bottom.
