TO THB EDITOB. Sih, The Government have eliminated from the Noxious Weeds Bill some of the clauses which were palpable absurdities. The bill is not altered out of any consideration for the farming interest, but because the Government are afraid it would lose them too many votes if ttey tried to cairy it with all its iniquities. Let farmers remember that a member of the present Ministry— a Minister who, as far as they are concerned, has more power than any other for good or evil— brought in a bill to fine them or send them to prison, if within so many days they did not eradicate eradicable weeds.
