Dredging- at Anderson's Bay.
TO THB T3DITOB. Sib,— Your Anderson's Bay correspondent is rather Barcastic in his remarks re dredging. He should bear in mind the old adage that •'Fools and bairns should no see folks work half done."— l am, &0., BOSS OF THE DrEDOE. Ocean Beach, August 7.
The Gumfielda Commission has closed and the commissioners are framing their report, which will be forwarded to Wellington shortly. An Austrian suggested that the commissioners should communicate with the commanderof the Austrian warship Said*, in port, stating that the colony did not desire the present influx of Austrians unaccompanied by their wives »nd who did not intend to remain.
